The city government aims to complete or at least bid out eight priority infrastructure projects this year, City Administrator Griscelda M. Joson said in a recent interview.
Ms. Joson said Cagayan Mayor Constantino G. Jaraula met recently with city officials to discuss details of the projects. She also met last month with leaders of the local business chamber to identify measures and projects needed to boost the city’s business — including tourism — climate.

The projects given top priority for this year are those designed to improve public transport, as well as additional drainage to prevent flooding in low-lying areas, especially in the city’s central business district.
