Callworkz, a start-up American call center operator, plans to invest $30 million to expand its operations in the Philippines and create 5,000 home-based jobs in three years.
Brian Silverman, chief executive officer of Callworkz, said the company also aims to generating around $120 million in annual revenues by 2011.
Callworkz provides the outsourcing needs of international companies through a model that allows call center agents to work from their homes. The company said this model can help prevent high attrition rates in the call center industry.
